Swinging London Town, very expensive, very crowded,
very bustling. When you bump into somebody on the street,
literally, you should say, "Cheers!" London is now the 4th
most expensive city in the world.

Because Karen's friend Chris Hanger (RIP 2002) was one of the
world's leading Churchill scholars, and a friend of Lady Somms,
(Churchill's daughter), we were giving a VIP tour of the radio room
and other WWII facilities beneath Whitehall. Fascinating stuff.

Big Ben and Che, all part of the scene.

The London Eye was well worth it. We easily bought tickets in
advance. The next day, we got off the underground, walked a few
blocks and walked right on the Eye, without breaking a beat. The
wheel never actually stops (when open) and it is a wee bit
unnerving at the top.

Then we took a trip up the Thames.
The Hyde Park Speakers' Corner was interesting. All sorts of,
well, wackos, carrying on, arguing with hecklers, etc. Not a Bobby
in sight. The only real anger we saw and heard was, of course,
Isreali and Palestinian supporters screaming at each other, especially
the women. Great hatred at tremendous volume.  Not bad for free.
